अच्छे लोगों की भगवान के यहां भी आवश्यकता होती है। राष्ट्रपति पुलिस पदक सहित अनेेक पुरस्कार प्राप्त विनय कृष्ण उनियाल का 66 वर्ष अवस्था में दिल्ली में निधन हो गया, मूलतः टिहरी गढ़वाल उनियाल गांव के रहने वाले उनियाल ने 25 मई को दिल्ली में अंतिम सांस ली।
उत्तराखंड के कृषि व पशुपालन मंत्री और शासकीय प्रवक्ता सुबोध उनियाल ने विनय कृष्ण उनियाल के निधन पर गहन व्यक्त किया, उन्होंने कहा कि देश विनय कृष्ण की सेवाओं को सदैव याद रखेगा। उन्होंने दुख प्रकट करते हुए कहा कि हमने राष्ट्र का एक सच्चा सिपाही खो दिया है। सुबोध उनियाल ने कहा कि वे निजी तौर प भी उन्हें जानते थे वे सरल स्वभाव के स्वाभिमानी व्यक्ति थे।
टिहरी गढ़वाल उनियाल गांव निवासी विनय कृष्ण उनियाल ने कई महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर आसीन रहकर देश की सेवा की। विनय कृष्ण उनियाल कुछ समय तक देश की इंटेलिजेंस एजेंसी से भी संबद्ध रहे। सेवानिवृत्त होने के बाद विनय कृष्ण देश के सुरक्षा सलाहकार अजीत डोभाल से संबंधित संस्था एनटीआरओ से जुड़कर देश सेवा कार्य कर रहे थे। विनय कृष्ण उनियाल को वर्ष 2008 में तत्कालीन केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री शिवराज पाटिल द्वारा ने ‘राष्ट्रपति पुलिस सेवा मेडल’ 
और वर्ष 2015 में गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर तत्कालीन गृहमंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने ‘राष्ट्रपति पुलिस पदक’ से सम्मानित किया था। विनय कृष्ण उनियाल कुछ समय तक देश की इंटेलिजेंस एजेंसी से भी जुड़े रहे। सेवानिवृत्त होने के बाद विनय कृष्ण देश के सुरक्षा सलाहकार अजीत डोभाल से जुड़ी संस्था एनटीआरओ से जुड़कर देश सेवा कार्य कर रहे थे।राष्ट्रपति पुलिस पदक सहित कई पुरस्कार प्राप्त छियासठ वर्ष की आयु में विनय कृष्ण उनियाल का दिल्ली में निधन हो गया। विनय कृष्ण उनियाल की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा गांव के विद्यालय में हुई इसके उपरांत वे देहरादून के गुरु राम राय महाविद्यालय से उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के बाद उन्होंने एसएसबी में कमीशन प्राप्त किया था। 
टिहरी गढ़वाल में विकास क्षेत्र जौनपुर, पट्टी सकलाना के उनियाल गांव में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी परिवार में जन्मे विनय कृष्ण के पिता जय कृष्ण उनियाल और चाचा दोनों स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी थे। जबकि, दूसरे चाचा मनोहर लाल उनियाल श्रीमन प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार थे। उनके पिता ने भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन के मध्य लाहौर में स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों की टुकड़ी का नेतृत्व किया। वहीं, टिहरी गढ़वाल राजशाही के विरूद्ध युवाओं की टीम बनाकर “सुजान बंधु” ग्रुप का गठन भी किया था श्री उनियाल का विवाह स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी एवं पूर्व सांसद परिपूर्णानंद पैन्यूली की सुपुत्री से संपन्न हुआ था। वे भी अति सुशील और सेवाभावी गृहणी हैं।

माई लाइफ जर्नी
मेरा जन्म उनियाल गोअन, ब्लॉक जौनपुर, टिहरी गढ़वाल के एक प्रसिद्ध राजनीतिक/स्वतंत्रता सेनानी परिवार में हुआ था और जब तक मैंने अपनी प्राथमिक स्तर की शिक्षा पूरी नहीं की, तब तक मेरा जन्म हुआ। अपने जीवन का इतना लंबा और महत्वपूर्ण समय वहाँ बिताने के कारण मैं गढ़वाली के सभी रीति-रिवाजों और परंपराओं से अच्छी तरह वाकिफ हूँ। मैं ग्रेजुएशन और पोस्ट ग्रेजुएशन के लिए देहरादून गया था।
मैं एक राजनीतिक परिवार में पैदा हुआ था, क्योंकि मेरे पिता और मेरे दोनों चाचा प्रख्यात स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे। उन्हें टिहरी राज्य के तत्कालीन शासक (राजा) ने जेल में डाल दिया था, और देश की खातिर महीनों जेल में बिताया। मेरे परिवार में ऐसी विषम परिस्थितियों के कारण मेरे परिवार ने बहुत राजनीतिक कष्टों का अनुभव किया था और मेरी अंतरात्मा पर गहरा प्रभाव डाला था।
मेरे पिता ने लाहौर में ‘भारत छोड़ो’ आंदोलन के दौरान स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों की एक टीम का नेतृत्व किया और टिहरी के लोगों के मुद्दों से लड़ने के लिए टिहरी राज्य के युवाओं की एक टीम बनाकर “सुजान बंधु” की स्थापना की और अंत में टिहरी के लोगों को अपना राज्य मिला। 1948 में भारत में विलय करने के लिए।
मेरे एक चाचा श. राम चंद्र उनियाल हमारे निर्वाचन क्षेत्र (उत्तरकाशी) से विधायक के रूप में मनोनीत हुए और अपनी मृत्यु तक जिला कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष बने रहे। मेरे दूसरे चाचा श. मनोहर लाल उनियाल एक प्रसिद्ध कवि थे, जिन्होंने देशभक्ति पर अपनी अधिकांश कविताएँ लिखीं।
मैंने एक बहुत ही प्रतिष्ठित और प्रसिद्ध परिवार से शादी की, जिसने राज्य की स्वतंत्रता के लिए संघर्ष में भी योगदान दिया। माई फादर इन लॉ, श्री. परिपूर्ण नंद पेनुली, वर्ष 1972-1977 में संसद सदस्य (सांसद) थे और श्री। सच्चिदा नंद दर्द से पीएम, श्रीमती के तहत भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के दोनों स्वतंत्रता सेनानी हैं। इंदिरा गांधी
राजनीतिक परिस्थितियों से उत्पन्न कठिनाइयों ने मुझे वित्तीय नुकसान से उबरने और अपने परिवार के निर्माण के लिए नौकरी करने के लिए मजबूर किया।
अनेक पुस्तकों में मेरे परिवार के सदस्यों का राजनीतिक मामलों पर उल्लेख किया गया है।
कार्य अनुभव
मुझे नीचे दिए गए बिंदुओं के अनुसार परसेप्शन मैनेजमेंट, एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन, इंफॉर्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी, टेलीकम्युनिकेशन और ट्रेनिंग देने का 40 साल का अनुभव है।
मैंने देहरादून में 3 साल की संक्षिप्त अवधि के लिए गणित के व्याख्याता के रूप में काम किया।
इसके बाद, मैंने विशेष सेवा ब्यूरो (एसएसबी) [सशस्त्र सीमा बल] में अपना करियर शुरू किया और वहां (आईजी/संयुक्त सचिव के ग्रेड में) डीडी (आईजी) के पद तक पहुंचा।
मैं १०,००० लोगों की टीम के प्रबंधन का एकमात्र प्रभारी था। माई जॉब फंक्शन में उनके विभिन्न प्रोजेक्ट से संबंधित, प्रशासनिक मुद्दों और शिकायतों आदि को संबोधित करने की आवश्यकता थी। मैं उन्हें सफलतापूर्वक संबोधित करने में सक्षम था।

मैंने नेटवर्किंग सेवाओं की भी देखभाल की, जहां मैं संगठन की सभी नेटवर्किंग आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने के लिए जिम्मेदार था, जिसमें मैंने सभी तकनीकी मामलों और मुद्दों को पूरी तरह से/कुशलता से संबोधित किया है।

My Profile Statement
I am a confident, articulate and multi-faceted Person who is well-known among the people in my society and community. It was my silent desire, since my childhood, to be heard and make a difference; through getting into politics. My passion for social justice, making a tangible difference in the community and resolving people’s problems, provoked by social hardships, I faced due to political situations, makes me the ideal candidate for a demanding position in politics.
My Life Journey
I was born in a remote village, Uniyal Goan, Block Jaunpur, Tehri Garhwal in a well-known Political/Freedom Fighter family and grown up there till I completed my Primary Level Education. Due to spending of such a long and important period of my life there, I am well aware about all Garhwali customs and traditions. For my graduation and post-graduation I went of Dehradun.
I was born in a political family, as my father and both my uncles were eminent freedom fighters. They were jailed by the erstwhile ruler (King) of Tehri State, and spent months together in prison for the sake of the country. My family had experienced much political sufferings due to such odd situations in my family and had deep impact on my conscience.
My father also led a team of Freedom Fighters during ‘Quit India’ movement in Lahore and established, “SUJAN BANDHU” forming a team of youth of Tehri State to fight the causes of people of Tehri and finally the people of Tehri got their state to merged in India in 1948.
One of my uncle Sh. Ram Chandra Uniyal was nominated as MLA from our constituency (Uttarkashi) and remained President of District congress committee till his death. My second uncle Sh. Manohar Lal Uniyal was a well-known Poet, who wrote much of his poetry on patriotism.
I got married to a very eminent and renowned family which also contributed towards the struggle for the freedom of the state. My Father in Laws, Sh. Paripoorna Nand Painuly, was a Member of Parliament (MP) in year 1972-1977 and Sh. Sachida Nand Painuly both Freedom Fighters from Indian National Congress under PM, Smt. Indira Gandhi
Hardships created by the political situations forced me to do a job for recovering from the financial loss & buildup my family.
In many books, references are made on my family Members on political matters.
Work experience
I have 40 years of experience in Perception Management, Administration, Information Technology, Tele-communication and Imparting Training as per below mentioned points.
I worked as a lecturer of Mathematics for a brief period of 3 years at Dehradun.
Thereafter, I started my career In Special Service Bureau (SSB) [Sashastra Seema Bal] and rose up to the rank of DD (IG) there (In the grade of IG/Joint Secretary).
I was the whole sole in-charge of managing team of 10,000 people. My Job function required addressing their various project related, administrative issues and grievances etc. I was able to address them successfully.
I regularly arranged meetings with personnel under my command in an attempt to better understand their problems and raised their issues up to senior management.
I went through several trainings e.g. physical training, team building, project management, administration, Personnel matters, Cyber Crime etc.
I was responsible for Information Technology, Tele-communication and Technical Training Divisions in SSB where I planned conceiving various projects, its implementation, imparting trainings to the whole organization. My focus was to understand employees’ requirement by having complete dialogue with the personnel and accordingly addressed their requirements for better performance.
I looked after networking services also where I was responsible to cater for all networking requirement of the organization wherein I have fully/efficiently addressed all technical matters and issues.
My commanding, administrative and political faculties as explained above, were applauded by all of my collegues and seniors which culminated in various rewards, medals, prizes and certificates. I was awarded IPM (Indian Police Medal) for excellent service in year 2008 and PPM (President Police Medal) for distinguished service in year 2016 on the occasion of Republic Day.

Presentation skills: I have been giving presentations, lectures, on a regular basis in my organizations to a broad range of audiences and subjects.
People skills: Major of my career has gone in managing people and their issues. I have good popularity among the people I managed/manage. I am a good Orator. I understand human psychology and have a deep interest in human matters.

SSB is spreaded across all over hills in Grahwal District area. I was part of many public assignments / public dealings during my association with SSB.
